Ksiopea
Your school's timetable, driven by conversation.
Ksiopea computes your school's full timetable with a state-of-the-art optimization engine, and lets you steer it in plain language: you say what you need, the assistant turns it into constraints, and the engine places every class and guarantees it all fits.
Forty minutes of argument, two of conversation.
A teacher asks for Friday afternoons off. The head of studies opens Ksiopea, changes the constraint and regenerates. The assistant answers with the cost: “fine, but you lose two first-period lessons and two Science classes clash in the lab”. Staff-room negotiation stops being corridor politics and becomes a conversation with the data in front of you.
You speak. It's applied. The engine guarantees it.
“PE can't clash in the gym”, “Marta is off on Fridays”, “Year 8 tutoring goes to Tomás”. The usual notes, exactly as you say them in the staff room.
It turns each instruction into engine constraints and writes them into the model, with a confirmation you can review before generating.
The solver computes and guarantees a valid timetable. When something doesn't fit, it proposes the lowest-cost relaxation and tells you what you give up.
The computation is exact mathematics. The AI translates what you ask and explains the result; it's the optimization engine that decides where each class goes.
The base you steer — with a face and colour.
Every entity —teachers, groups, rooms— shares the same availability grid: available, no class, away or avoid, in a click or by painting with the mouse. And each teacher carries their own icon, which also shows on the PDF.
Hit generate and it places everything, no clashes.
A state-of-the-art optimization solver lays out the whole timetable honouring every hard constraint and minimising gaps. When something doesn't fit, it flags the conflict and proposes the lowest-cost relaxation.
What a real timetable actually needs.
State-of-the-art optimization for complex schools: multiple stages, many form groups and every room, teacher and subject constraint.
Elective bands and mixed groups across secondary and pre-university, the hardest part of the timetable. Unlimited period frames, without the caps of other tools.
It doesn't just place classes: it tells you why the timetable came out this way and what each change costs, with concrete data.
Bring the data in from your management system and export the timetable as PDF, calendar (ICS), Excel or back to your system. Open formats and a read API for your SIS.
No telemetry, no trackers. Hosted in the European Union, with the option to self-host on the school's own server.
Keyboard operable, careful contrast and screen-reader friendly. WCAG 2.2 AA, with light and dark modes.
Built for the timetable nobody wants.
Schools and colleges with several stages — and also academies, language schools and higher-education centres: any institution with many groups, rooms and real electives, where sorting out the year takes weeks. Starting in Spain, with our sights on the Spanish-speaking world, and open to the rest.
Put your hardest year to the test.
